Immediate was the response of the people against the disgraceful insult by the coalition in its “anti-racist” law. The law, which is to protect the interests of global Jewry and the Turkish partners of SYRIZA, calls itself “anti-racist” and penalizes free expression of Greeks. While one of the center points of the law revolves around “Holocaust denial”, no mention of genocides and crimes against Hellenic humanity are made.
Here is a unanimous resolution passed by the electoral assembly of the Pan-Pontian Federation of Greece, held in Thessaloniki on November 24th, 2013, in response to this anti-Greek legislation:
“We, the 550 delegates of the electoral assembly of the Pan-Pontian Federation of Greece held in Thessaloniki on November 24th, 2013, unanimously:
Condemn the omission of the Genocide of the Christian peoples of the East in the provisions of the new “anti-racist law” for imposing punishments on those who deny or condone genocide. Hiding the genocide of Pontian Greeks and Ionians, Thracians, Armenians, and Assyrians when passing a bill to combat forms of racism and xenophobia just reinforces the Kemalist racism that led to the first genocide of the 20th century.
We urge all to vote against this article, because otherwise they will be considered accomplices in the crime of abolishing National Remembrance.”
