MP Giorgos Germenis of the People’s Association Of Golden Dawn has filed a parliamentary inquiry demanding answers as to the situation of the hospital in Kos and its abhorrent state.
The hospital is in a sad state, but with the right equipment it could operate satisfactorily. Poor equipment and difficulty in access to health care is not the only problem facing the island in the era of the Memorandum and a race-traitor government.
In the archaeological site, which happens to be the birthplace of Hippocrates himself, let us imagine a situation very possible that could happen at any moment. For example, suppose a tourist (for those neo-liberals always talking about boosting tourism) suffers a sprain. Meanwhile, at the same time, in the middle of the island, which has a single road from the city to the airport, an elderly person suffers a heart attack. Then, at the same time, a child has a severe allergic reaction.
What will be done in such a case? There is only one ambulance (and let’s assume for argument’s sake that it is in excellent state of repair), can it go everywhere at once? How? By magic?
This hospital has a cardiology and pediatric department that only subsists thanks to the patriotism of the overwhelmed Greek physicians who have somehow made them work, a bigger issue is that most Greek doctors simply do not want to go to this far off island or have to deal with this work load. When it comes time for surgery, there is only a single operating table that can be used, causing massive waiting lists for surgeries. Even then, the equipment available is archaic. On the island, for a variety of geographical reasons, there must be exist two health centers. One should go in the middle of the island, while the other should be near the airport! Is it really so difficult to produce this basic necessity for the treacherous memorandum coalition?
At the bare minimum there must be four ambulances available, in excellent condition! Does the arrogant Health Minister know this? Does he care?
Incentives should be given to doctors and nurses for them to settle on the island. Do not forget that Greeks, regardless of their social class or insurance situation, have the right to sophisticated medical services. The chronically ill should be helped along with their families, so that they are not wrecked. If someone needs an emergency transfer to a larger hospital, there should be available a suitably equipped helicopter from Rhodes that will take them to the nearest properly equipped unit!
These are all key points integrated in the health care program of the Golden Dawn platform!
Some will ask, “how will we do this?” . But so many problems which remain unsolved for decades or worse are not as hard to correct as the traitors pretend it is.
What we need to achieve our goals is a movement that puts Greece and its prosperity first, and not the moneyed interests and traitors who destroy our Homeland and restrict the Greek people’s inalienable right to health!
Regional and European elections will be here soon. National, well the way things look maybe follow very soon! It is in the hands to continue dying, or change their destiny and finally reinstate a Golden Dawn of Hellenism!
