Speculations have been mounting about the ruthless memorandum despotat and its desire to grossly undermine the constitution in anticipation of the Presidential election. These forces are not satisfied with simply preventing the seven illegally imprisoned Golden Dawn MP’s from voting, but actually seek to expand disenfranchisement to all MP’s accused of “participation in a criminal organization”. Leaks from within the regime have said that PASOK’s head Venizelos has suggested that the election of the President of the Republic may not be with all 300 MPs, but instead with 282…
Constitutional experts believe this will manifest itself in a seriously corrupt form, as the Venizelos-Samaras junta has been interpreting the Greek Constitution in whatever way suits their interests. If this illegal decision takes place, it will mean that the runoff election for the President of the Republic will need 169 votes, instead of 180. The scenario could semantically be justified based on Article 30 of the Constitution that does not mention specific number of MP’s, so they very well could only accept 282 votes if they wish to block Golden Dawn’s 16 parliament members, but this is still a violation of the spirit of the law.
It is unfathomable that a so-called republic could employ the tactics of Joseph Stalin and then shamelessly suggest they are doing it for “democracy’. To think that a state which orders masked men to drag elected parliament members away to prison under false pretenses for more than a year can retain any legitimacy is a farce even the dying breed of PASOK fanatics do not believe.
As time goes on, more and more corruption is unraveled. The struggle of Golden Dawn has forced the system and the international powers propping it up to come out from their backroom deals and show their real face for all of the people to see. Because Golden Dawn is the only honest political force in Greece, our ranks grow thicker and stronger, causing the tyrants to grow more and more desperate.
