  1. Great essay. Spot on. IMO, the first sentence is classic:

“Extract the worst of Bolshevism, submerge it into the sickness of global capital, add a twist of Bourgeois ignorance, and you have the recipe to incubate your very own Alexis Tsipras.”

Best of luck in tomorrow’s elections. I think the “new age Marxist-capitalists” are in for a very unpleasant surprise.

  2. The most radical thing about “The Coalition of the Radical Left™” is their name. They are mainly composed of Papandreou Jr. and Senior’s old buddies. Indeed, they are little more than a reskin of Pasok. The article makes clear that all these parties are really just working together and even if that weren’t the case, they are all so similar that you could pretty much call them the same party anyway.

Lets put it this way: If Pasok is the original model, then New Democracy is a copy that occasionally talks about bringing illegal immigration under control before forgetting they said anything about it. Syriza is a copy that is ever so slightly peppered with fringe leftist groups. To Potami is copy that is… well i don’t know, an insult to the Hellenic people? A joke by a bunch of over privileged bankers? I can’t even say anymore. And then we even have that malaka Papandreou Jr. who evidently didn’t get the message when he was thrown out of office last time. Apparently, he too is running a party. He was kicked out of his fathers own party a few years back, which was itself a sinking ship. So make of that what you will. At the end of the day though, they are all slight variations (and often not even that) of one party: Pasok.

You know? The very same party that ruined us in the first place?!
