On Monday the Troika and the Memorandum will supposedly end.
We had been saying for days that the only government negotiation was in words and expressions, while their negotiating tool was the fear of the rise of Golden Dawn. In the last weeks there have been multiple statements about this by Varoufakis and Tsipras.
Finally Tsipras managed to achieve one negotiating “victory”, which does not concern the Greek people, but instead the partisan interests and its policy of communicating with the people. It managed a broad consensus that the memorandum will be given a new name, as will the troika so that when the new memorandum comes it will not carry with it the words that already anger the Greek people.
Tsipras is quoted as saying: “The transition from the Memorandum to the Greek program is at the heart of the consultation until Monday.” But what is the difference between the “Greek program” and the “Memorandum”, since until now the “Memorandum” was the “Greek program”?
Tsipras explains further: “Neither the Troika nor their Memorandum we met there.” Tsipras likes to speak in codes, so we will help our readers decipher them.
About Troika: “We will communicate with our institutional partners’
About memorandum: “I will lead us into a new contract with its partners for the development and rehabilitation against social injustice”
In plain English, from now on the Memorandum will be called a “contract” or maybe a “social contract” because that sounds better to Greek leftists who are reminded of the french revolution. The poetic words of Tsipras are broken down by Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission: “You can replace measures provided they are of equivalent performance.“ Some measures will be replaced by equivalent measures, like a trade. In which direction will these “changes” go? Tsipras refers to the rules of austerity imposed by the European Union: “Although we disagree with these rules we are obliged to respect them”
Regarding the troika, the situation follows the same pattern, now they are calling the Troika “representatives of institutional partners.” . Who are the “institutional partners”? Exactly the same people that made up the Troika, ie the ECB and the IMF or to put it in the words of Tsipras: “We should be in contact with the IMF and the ECB.”
So the government of “Independent Greeks” and SYRIZA will sign a new memorandum, giving it the name of “Greek Program with Our Institutional Partners” while the media channels in Greece will issue headlines of “Memorandum Ending”.
About the new Memorandum names and Troika, the press office of Golden Dawn issued the following statement :
“The regime of the troika continues to dominate us with their new name (” institutional representatives “)
The usurers lenders impose the terms of the new Memorandum of destructive and Tsipras chooses his new name. The regime of the troika continue to treat Greece as a protectorate, but will now call them “institutional representatives.” The Greek people remain prisoners of international usury. “
