Here we have for SYRIZA’s President of the Republic, whom will also be supported from ANEL (independent greeks). It’s a good idea to highlight a few “achievements” of this great politician, Prokopis Pavlopoulos.
To begin with, we should stress that SYRIZA’s choice reveals the destitution of the ruling party and their willingness to compromise with the old, sinful political establishment, of which Pavlopoulos is a prominent member of.
1) Prokopis Pavlopoulos, in May 2007 as the Karamanlis government’s Minister of the Interior, invited all illegal immigrants to Greece and thanked them for their choice!
2) He is fully responsibility for the destruction, looting and burning of Athens as Interior Minister in December 2008 from known groups of anarcholeftists parastatals along with illegal immigrants.
3) On November 27, 2014, he took on the role of getting Michelakis off on the Pallis’ bribery scandal. He took the floor in parliament and stated that “Namely this is why I voted in favor or a non-referral of Michelakis, based on the indictment that was put forth. And I stress that what I have to say to you have nothing to do with the heart of the matter, which is a totally different issue and is a matter of one’s own conscience. But you will notice, gentlemen, that in view of Mr. Michelakis referral, there is a major issue that parliament must consider when the time comes to vote, and like I said it has nothing to do with the heart of the matter. Of all the years I have been in parliament this is the first time this has occurred. If you look through the indictment which has been recorded, Mr. Mihelakis is being referred based on the provisions of Article 235, paragraph 1, of the Criminal Code. Namely for bribery on the criminal level while in office. So what does this mean? It means that in order for someone to be referred they must be classified – because that’s what the Criminal Code says – as an “official”, because only officials are subject to the provisions of Article 235, Paragraph 1. The question, then, which is raised is this: When an MP is exercising their parliamentary and legislative duties, are they an official?…”
The list of “Pakis’s” exploits is of course endless and it is well known that… he enjoys respect… from broad sections of Greek society, but also from his colleagues. The following videos highlight this:
